The Tanzania Capacity and Communication Project is a five year project which started in 2012 intending to advocate for behavior change concerning HIV spread, use of family planning services, and maternal and child health services. It targets to reduce HIV infection by reduction of concurrent sexual partners through “Tuko Wangapi, Tulizana” campaign.
To increase adoption of safer behaviors by Tanzanian adults and by higher risks populations (adults and youth) to prevent or manage HIV infection. This campaign also supports the uptake of family planning to reduce unmet need, address maternal, newborn and child issues.
The TCCP Project through “Tuko Wangapi, Tulizana” Campaign covers the whole district of Mufindi. Due to the high demand, the project faces some challenges to reach larger population in Mufindi.
Increased target communities’ ability and motivation to reduce their risk of HIV transmission through use of community- based and interpersonal BCC techniques.
